Communications & Marketing
Effingham Unit 40 Schools follows the guiding questions of our Strategic Plan to take administrative action steps towards improving communication with our parents, with our staff and with our community. Aside from sharing timely information via social media, the district has built and updated a new website in the summer of 2024. This comprehensive and streamlined plan for internal and external communications also includes a new Mass Notification System, a website mobile application, a separate and dedicated website for athletics, and a triannual district magazine called The Torch.
For your convenience the district has provided copies of our athletic and academic logos. The links to the images are located in the right hand column of this page. The high-resolution images are saved as Adobe Illustrator files. You must have Adobe Illustrator installed on your machine to use these images.
STUDENT IMAGES
Student images may be used in publications, videos, and the Internet as part of school related functions.
State law requires the District to notify students and their parents/guardians that school officials may request or require a student or his or her parent/guardian to provide a password or other related account information to gain access to the student’s account or profile on a social networking website. This request may be made only if there is reasonable cause to believe that the student’s account contains evidence that he or she violated a school disciplinary rule or Board policy. Generally, such requests will be made only if there is an imminent threat of harm to a student or staff member or the property of a student, staff member or the school. Any request may only be acted upon with the preapproval of the Superintendent. Failure of a student or parent to comply with a request to provide a password or other related account information to gain access to the student’s account or profile on a social networking website may subject the student to further discipline.
