Parents should proceed through the parent pick up line, and teachers will bring your child’s items to the car. During the pick-up, students should return any guided reading books, library books, or school belongings. Paper packets do not need to be returned to school.

We will be celebrating the retirement of Ms. Richards, ELC’s fabulous music teacher, during this pick up. Therefore, if students would like to drop off a card, hold up a sign, or give Ms. Richards a big wave or a honk to celebrate her retirement, she would welcome the celebration for all her years of service to our little people.

Effingham Junior High School

Hello,
I hope all are staying safe and completing the remote learning that teachers have prepared for you. If you are not able to be on Google Classroom or email a picture of the completed paper packets to your teachers, please submit paper packets at any food distribution location.  We are having a locker clean out and book turn in date set for students at EJHS.  These dates will help us get items from you, and allow you to collect your items you may have left at school.  We ask that parents use the teacher parking lot south of the building.  Students will use the cross walk, a face mask, and social distancing and bring items to the south doors of the small gym.  At the south doors of the small gym, students will give the school their books (library, novels, textbooks, etc), and the school will give the students items that were collected from their lockers and band.  Please have your student place a piece of paper in the front of each book with their name and the teacher that the book should be returned.  This will help speed up the check in and check out process. We also hope to have awards for academic and athletic achievements students have earned this year ready to be handed out. This will only happen if we can get the awards from the company making them by the collection dates.  If we cannot, we will make other arrangements to get students their rewards.  Due to COVID 19 we are not able to hold these awards ceremonies but want to ensure that students get the awards they have earned.
